IMON INTERNATIONAL was also represented at the 12^th MFC Microfinance Conference conducted from May 24-27 in Belgrade, Serbia. IMON was represented at the conference by the Manager of the Operations Department, Mr. Akbarov Bakhodur, who presented IMON at the conference and its impact on economic development and job creation in Tajikistan.

For the past ten years, the Conference has become a traditional event, and this year over 480 participants attended. The Conference focused on the influence of the economic crisis on access to financial services, in particular, to issues relating to protecting clients with low incomes, threats and opportunities for microfinance organizations and investors and the role of Government and donors in dealing with the situation. During the conference several workshops were conducted, devoted to the economic situation in the region, its impact on the community and the standing of financial organizations.
